A Small Business Strategy: The next leap forward for the Irish economy

Businesses know that strategies matter – at firm level and national level.

The Small Firms Association has launched a campaign for a national Small Business Strategy for Ireland, just as ambitious as the strategic focus on FDI from the 1950s to the present day.

The first two campaign documents, published in May 2018, set out:
  • Why a Small Business Strategy is needed
  • The scale of the small business sector in Ireland

The third campaign document, published with PKF O’Connor, Leddy & Holmes in October 2018 sets out
  • Proposed changes to current tax rates, amendments to existing schemes, ideas for new targeted reliefs and suggestions on how to reduce the burden of tax administration on small companies

All those involved in or with small businesses are encouraged to read these materials and to support the campaign by raising it with your local representatives and spreading the message with the hashtag #smallbizstrategy.
