SFA Business Bytes aim to give members access to a high calibre of speaker with a view to contributing to your personal development and ultimately your effectiveness within your business.
The very basis for the employment relationship is the contract. It’s absence can cost an employer up to 4 weeks pay. This presentation will look at this most important document and clarify what should and should not be contained therein. The use of fixed term or fixed purpose contracts will be explored in detail and misconceptions clarified.
This seminar The Contract of Employment Demystified will be presented by Alan Sherlock, taking place on the 9th of October in Confederation House, Dublin. The seminar will last for one hour with an opportunity to network with peers for an hour immediately after the seminar with refreshments. Registration will commence at 6:00pm with the seminar beginning at 6:30pm sharp.
Alan Sherlock has been an executive with the Small Firms Association for over 7 years. During this time he has advised member companies both face to face and over the phone on every element of employment legislation. Educated at the National College of Ireland and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Alan worked in HR and IR within the Public Sector before joining the SFA team. He is a contributor to numerous publications on all aspects employment and regularly delivers presentations on the topic.
