SFA Business Bytes go from strength to strength with our sixth event taking place on Wednesday March 14th 2012. These events aim to give members access to a high calibre of speaker with a view to contributing to your personal development and ultimately your effectiveness within your business.|
The March seminar will be presented by Aisling Igoe, a member of the executive team of the Small Firms Association. Each year the SFA take in excess of 40,000 calls in relation to employment law and this presentation will focus on one of the most popular areas of concern – Statuary Leave. Topics to be covered include:
· Annual Leave calculation
· Maternity Leave
· Parental and Force Majeure leave
· Sick leave
The presentation will aim to provide information on your responsibilities as an employer but will also give you some insight in relation to the control of the various types of leave and the obligations of the employee.
Each seminar lasts for one hour with an opportunity to network with peers for an hour immediately after with refreshments.
There will also be an opportunity for 3 members to put a spotlight on their businesses at each event (selected at random – 3 minute presentation – will be notified in advance). Refreshments will be provided and informal networking will take place before and after the formal seminar.
