SFA Guideline on Employing Young Persons

The employment of children and young people is primarily governed by the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996, which sets down restrictions on their hours of work and minimum rest requirements. Except for areas specifically covered by this Act, the provisions of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997, apply.
