SFA Skillnet Leading Digital Transformation for Business Growth, June 5, 2019
This one-day programme aims to a) increase participants’ understanding of fundamental Digital Transformation concepts and practices and b) equip participants with practical insights into actions that are required to achieve their firm’s specific Digital Transformation objectives. The course will run onsite in the Innovation Value Institute’s (IVI) training room in Maynooth University.
On completion of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of Digital Transformation, find new opportunities to use digital in the firm, and articulate how ‘digital’ can prepare the firm for opportunities and challenges afforded by new technology and innovations
- Describe key Digital Transformation activity areas/management themes
- Describe key capabilities required for Digital Transformation
- Assess the firm’s Digital Transformation strengths and weaknesses
- Identify priority focus areas for improvement
- Design the firm’s Digital Transformation improvement plan for success
- Implement activities involved in establishing a Digital Transformation initiative
This course is an intensive, fast-paced, action-oriented programme with directed learning and hands-on activities. Course participants are requested to bring their business laptop / notebook to the course as they will undertake an online assessment as part of their training activities. As part of the course, participants will undertake the IVI’s Digital Technology Assessment (DTA), enabling them to reflect on their own firm’s context. This will generate an automatic output report that will help identify the firm’s priority Digital Transformation focus areas. The output of the DTA will be used to introduce participants to IVI’s Body of Knowledge and other knowledge assets and resources to help them to: plan, transform, manage, measure, and realise value from digital technology in their firms.
