The SFA is recognised by decision makers matter as the "The Voice of Small Business" in Ireland. We leverage this influence, along with that of our parent organisation, Ibec, to ensure the best deal for small business. Our mission is to ensure that the Government, the opposition parties, the civil service and the general public realise the importance of the small business sector and the critical need to ensure the broader economic environment is conducive to your continued survival and growth.|
We regularly meet with Government Ministers directly on particular issues of concern, we make submissions to Government Departments, we give evidence before Joint Oireachtas Committees and lobby influencers across the spectrum. The SFA conduct hundreds of TV, radio and print media interviews annually.
In order for us to be up to date with the business problems facing member companies and to assist us in informing the media and lobbying to Government, we carry out various surveys and reports through the year looking for members input. This information is compiled from member companies and once completed all reports are made available to members.
We are members of the European Representative organisation for business, BusinessEurope, and engage actively with their lobbying agenda in the EU.
